Lithuania’s post advises that the government has extended its full-country lockdown until May 31 in order to control the spread of the coronavirus. While the lockdown remains in place, postal services will continue to operate under certain restrictions, including a reduced workforce to minimize physical contact between people. Items normally requiring the addressee’s signature upon delivery can be handed over without signature. The processing and delivery of all types of inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will continue to be affected, and Lithuania’s post is unable to guarantee compliance with the usual delivery standards.
