Peru’s post advises that it is taking steps to re-establish service levels and restore normal operations for all types of mail, including nationwide mail delivery. Mauritius Post advises that the government has extended a lockdown until April 30 in response to a significant number of new COVID-19 infections. Postal services will be limited until April 10 with all postal activities resuming April 12. However, the lockdown will have an impact on postal operations. Although the airport remains open, international air traffic is limited to a few airlines. The post will be unable to collect and send outbound mail for certain destinations. Processing and delivery of all types of mail will continue to be affected and the post is unable to guarantee compliance with agreed standards. Read More >
La Poste has updated that the French Government has announced a new lockdown from 3 April to 2 May 2021. Reinforced measures have been put in place in the most impacted regions since 20 March, and this has now been extended to the whole country from 4 April, with restrictions on business and travel. All schools and colleges have been closed since 2 April. La Poste has to comply with all necessary measures, which is likely to impact mail operations so delivery standards can not be guaranteed Read More >
