Per USPS, The South African Post asks us to inform that the nationwide strike, which commenced on July 3rd, ended on July 18th. Accumulated mail is expected to take roughly 20 working days to be processed. Read More >
Canada Post is under negotiations with the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW), which represents their delivery agents and plant employees. Canada Post has been working to reach new collective agreements with CUPW since late 2017. Throughout the entire process, a mediator has been participating in the process to provide guidance and assistance. On Friday, June 29, 2018 CUPW asked the Federal Minister of Labour for conciliation assistance in these ongoing negotiations. The conciliation process provides certainty in the short term. Under the Canada Labour Code, there can be no legal work disruption for roughly three months after initiating the conciliation process.
With CUPW filing a notice, the earliest a work disruption could occur based on the timeline is mid- to late September. We will provide updates on the progress. Read More >
Per PostNL, The postal operator of South Africa has informed us that all traffic suffers from delays due to strikes in the country. The situation started on July 3rd and has been ongoing since. We expect that services to South Africa are delayed until the situation has ceased. Read More >
